Ok so here’s a quick tip I discovered that I’m putting here to remind myself, but also to inform anyone else who comes along.

Sometimes when you are looking for a very old email on your iPhone you find the subject, but then trying to read the message you get the unhelpful error “This message has not been downloaded from the server”. There is nowhere to say “Ok then download it”, it just sits there mocking you.

Well here’s a quick fix… Forward the message. Just click Forward and it will ask you “Download rest of message first?”. Say yes and then you will see the old message quoted in the forward. Now if only Apple would make than an option without having to ‘fake’ forward it…
